My Challenge group and I had the chance to interview UFC original gangster Joe Lauzon recently, and here are the TWO biggest takeaways! Stay tuned to my group for more awesome interviews with fighters and other superstars.
🔥Takeaway #1 – Plan Everything
🗓️Joe is just like myself and all of the high achievers that I know, he always HAS A PLAN. 🗓️ He is still actively fighting in the UFC, and also coaches three other UFC fighters at the same time! He always needs to be planning camps, weight cuts, diets, strategies. And that’s just his fight game!
Joe also has a family and runs his own business…so you can imagine how badly his ass would get run over if he didn’t have a plan for everything. So what’s your excuse? Seriously, after talking to Joe I felt like I needed to do MORE lol.🤣
Do you plan your days? Weeks? Months? Years?
➡️➡️ If you don’t, then please start today. Plan tomorrow, and see how it positively affects your day.
🔥Takeaway #2 – Don’t Compare Yourself To Others
Sounds weird, coming from a highly competitive dude, doesn’t it? Joe has experienced some of the best longevity in the fight game though, so there must be some proof in the pudding.🍮
Here’s a great example from Joe’s life…Joe is 36 years old, but is training guys who are 23. Do you think that their bodies can do the same things? Do you think they react the same way to the same foods and training regimens? Hell to the NO!
🤔Joe has learned that he can’t compare himself to others, and neither should you. I’ve seen it a million times…guys joins gym, guy starts jiu-jitsu, guy sees others doing awesome and he feels like a loser, guy quits. ❌Don’t be that guy!❌
Focus on you. Like we say in my Challenge, take care of yourself, so that you can take care of the people around you. It’s like the oxygen masks on planes….put your own mask on first, before helping others! <yes, i had to make a plane reference>✈️
Joe is an incredible dude, and a super nice guy to boot! You would never think that he could choke you unconscious in a matter of seconds. Trust me when i say this, when you see a guy like Joe who is a high achiever in every aspect of your life, you can ALWAYS learn something from him and his habits.
So, those were the two biggest takeaways from our interview with Joe Lauzon, if you want more inspiration or accountability then you should really think about joining my next challenge. Check it out here : https://awakenthefighterinside.com/
💪Keep grinding & putting in the work. See you next week!
