This day was awesome!
Another win against autism.
We have been working to push our daughter past her comfort zones since she will be starting high school.
We joked about how fun it would be to take her to a movie someday.
But we still have anxiety from when she threw a plate at someone at Salt Grass…🤷♂️
Paige is a huge Dora fan and when we asked her if she wanted to go she said yes.
We were both excited and then anxiety set in.
I am a planner. So we had to lay out our plan and be ready to abort the mission at anytime.
Step one: Mark the exit and be ready to exfill.
Step two: Don’t order anything. Make sure she is comfortable.
Step three: Be ready to improvise. And don’t give her any plates…🤣
Well, she exceeded all expectations and had a great time. We even got to eat…
When we went to leave I asked her if she wanted to see Frozen II when it came out and she sat back down…lol.
Always enjoy the little things on the journey. They are the best parts of life.
