How To Get The Best Online Traffic

How to get the best online traffic?

Hey there, I’m Paul Halme. For those of you who are new here, I help martial arts academy owners get more leads, more students. And most importantly show you how to become a more profitable business owner while building your lifestyle academy.

I hear this story all the time,

“I can’t get enough leads online.”

“Marketing is hard.”

“How do I make Facebook ads like that?”

It’s the most common thing about online traffic. If you can go through all the free Facebook group chats, everybody’s always talking about it. It’s just like a Hail Mary in a big game. There’s way more to it than just the sexy Facebook ad of the month.

So, don’t worry we’ve all been there at one point or another.

I can remember being so broke. I could not even spend a hundred dollars on ads. It was super frustrating so I had to do tons of guerrilla marketing. This was years ago before my gym grew and I had any money to do any marketing.

I had to do a lot of sweat equity I like to call it. But then as things get better, you’re able to hire coaches, spend more money on marketing, and then grow your academy. And when you get money, you can spend thousands of dollars if you want but you don’t have to.

I mean you can do a combination of free and paid advertising for your online traffic.

So, what I want to talk to you about today is the secret to getting more students faster. There are two things you have to do, do more and then do it better. What I mean by this is, the less budget you have the more things you have to do and you have to do that better.

And then when you do have a bigger budget you still have to do more and do it better because everyone is going to try and take you out for being the top school in the area. People start moving into your area because,

“Oh, he’s making money there.”

“His gym does well.”

It happens to me all the time. People come to our gym down the street. I’ve got so many gyms around me. I don’t know if I can count them anymore.

So, I want to focus on is this week’s tip about getting the best online traffic: Dominate on Google before you spend a single dollar on advertising.

It’s all about organic.

Let’s get this built. I see people chasing Facebook ads, these different things. And their organic sucks. Their website sucks. Their Google logo sucks.

I even have a YouTube channel.

So, we’re going to go through these three things. And of course, if you have a bunch of money you can speed the process up. You could have somebody help you do this or do it for you and just get it rocking.

But you can do all these things for free and then you just start putting more money into advertising.

So, get your Google game on point. Number one is Google Local Set Up.

Your Google My Business Account set up. Your page should start getting reviews, get links to your site, your hours, your pictures, your videos. Everything in there.

This has to be the pimpest Google local page in your area. Make yours look the best. Make sure it’s dialed in and it looks the best organic SEO.

You have to have a good website that’s SEO optimized and then you start building quality links, press releases, the thing that drives links back to your site. You want to keep driving as much organic traffic as you can.

Then as you do that, you start blogging and then cross-linking your blogs to other pages on your website back and forth creating what Google calls – a spider web. Because they have spiders that crawl on your site.

You want to be bouncing around from page to page because contrary to what people are saying SEO is not dead.

That’s a huge myth but SEO is huge. Go look for something within your area, you’re going to go to Google, you’re going to search for it.

So, if you ever need help researching your keywords, have a link that you can click on and it’ll be in the article where you can get some ways on how to find your keywords.

Then after you get that done, you can get into Google paid ads because you want to dominate that too.

Let’s focus right now, I’m just getting that dialed in. So now YouTube Google owns YouTube it’s the number two search engine in the world. When people search for things in your area on YouTube you want your videos to come up.

And then they’re also going to come up on Google when people type in local search terms. You see, all the time you’ll see different Facebook, different YouTube ads on Google.

So make sure you have that dialed in, get your channel set up, start creating videos, and you link those to your website pages. That helps with your organic SEO.

And it all just has the compound effect. You keep doing one after another. You can literally go from spending no money to having the best Google Local page, the best organic SEO and the best YouTube channel in your area without having to spend a bunch of money.

Then as you grow, say now you’re getting five to ten new students a month. Then you get 10 to 20, then you get 20 to 30, it’s going to cost you money to go out and find more leads.

Getting 0 to 10 leads, that’s almost by default. That’s when people are randomly finding you or somebody referred them to you.

If you want to get above that number of 10, you have to start spending money. Doing the things that you need to get done as what we talked about.

So if you are under 10, start doing these organic things. Then if you want to go from 10 to 20 you can do all the organic things plus paid traffic, plus local events.

Just keep building up.

Conclusion

Here’s my challenge to you, get these three things dialed in your academy:

  • Google
  • Organic SEO
  • YouTube
