Just Get a Little Better

Just Get a Little Better

It is summertime.

It’s hot. People don’t want to train.

People are kind of lazy hanging out. But this is the time when you can make ground on all your competitors and people who are trying to beat you. So really really dial in on your goals.

I know we talked about last time at the midway point of the year, but summer is the time people can slack off. Yes, take some downtime and enjoy time with your family. Reset.

You can take a day or two but stay on your weekly goals, and your monthly goals, and be accountable to those.

Fall comes around

Then when fall comes around, things start to pick up again. You’ll be in a great position to take advantage of that.

Make sure to write down your goals on a piece of paper and get a journal if you can.

Make sure you have everything written down. What you’re working on, what your goals are and stay focused on those. And then, try to add in a couple of activities that can drive you closer to your goals.

One for me is, I’m working on creative writing, which for me is a battle. Because, if you know me, I’m very short and to the point like these podcasts. They are never more than a few minutes. When I write posts, they are always short things like that.

I’m working on creative writing so my copy gets better and then better. Copy equals better conversions, etc. Better conversions equal more sales.

Try to improve in the things that we’re not good at, you know, and go up.

I’m not gonna focus on becoming an expert copywriter. I’d rather hire those which I do sometimes. But I want to get better at conveying my message and be a better storyteller.

So for me, it’s a little bit slower right now, and some of the things we’re working on. I can take some time to sit down and work on creative writing.

Pick one thing this month, I know it’s June.

Pick one thing this month to add to your to-do things. One thing you want to get better on. Maybe it’s copywriting. Maybe it’s Adwords. Maybe it’s YouTube. Whatever. It’s just something small and gets a little bit better at it.

All right and enjoy the summer.

You know, don’t just grind yourself up. As we kind of talked about before, it is on the way to the destination you’re gonna find out the journey was the best part. So always enjoy the journey.

Take some time to look around you.

Enjoy the process and the life we get to live!
