The Ups and Downs of Autism

Real talk here: There would be days that autism kicks me so hard and then there would be days where I just feel like I’d want time to come to a standstill and just keep relieving the moment.

Take this instance that happened a while back.

We had horse therapy but sadly that one did not go well. Paige had some anxiety and the horse wasn’t happy. So not much fun…

And you know when you have kids you always have to be prepared for anything! And I mean ANYTHING!

So I had plan A – Z mapped out already. Alright, I exaggerate, maybe not up to Z, but somewhere down the line.

So anyway, I tried to offer Jiu-Jitsu as an option instead.

I figured she would say no to it but she said: “Jitsu, go exercise.” Music to my ears I tell you!

She had a great day on the mats rolling, then knocked out some battle ropes, push-ups and squats.

These were the moments I’d relieve when I just see Paige have fun.

The rollercoaster ride of Autism!

If any of you relate somehow to this, let me know about what activities you like to do with your loved ones that go through this as well.
